Find answers to common questions about Linkdown. Can't find what you're looking for? We're here to help.

How do I convert a web page to Markdown?

You can paste a URL into Linkdown, use the system Share Extension from Safari or other apps, or type a link directly. The app will fetch the page, extract the main content, and convert it to Markdown automatically.

Does Linkdown work offline?

Yes. Once a page is fetched, you can process, edit, and export the Markdown content without an internet connection. Initial fetching requires connectivity, but everything else works offline.

Is my data private?

Absolutely. All processing happens on your device. No webpage content, URLs, or conversion results are sent to any server. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Why isn't content extraction perfect for some pages?

Content extraction works best on standard article and blog layouts. Pages with heavy JavaScript, paywalls, or unusual structures may not extract perfectly. We continuously improve the extraction engine.

Can I request a refund?

Yes. Your purchase is backed by a 7-day satisfaction guarantee. If Linkdown isn't right for you, request a refund through the Apple App Store β€” no questions asked.

What export formats are supported?

You can copy the Markdown to your clipboard, share it to other apps via the system share sheet, or save it to the Files app. The output is standard Markdown compatible with Notion, Obsidian, and any Markdown editor.
